What does LMHC stand for?
LMHC stands for Licensed Mental Health Counselor. It means that I am licensed by the state of Florida to asses and treat people for their mental health issues and concerns.
Who is your typical client?
I see all kinds of people. Some clients have very deep, difficult work to do, others are simply ready to improve their lives by working through issues that are causing them to struggle in some way.
Can you prescribe medication?
No. I work with local psychiatrists who are able to asses and provide medication if needed for my clients.
Do you provide marriage counseling?
Yes.
Do you treat people with substance abuse and addiction problems?
Yes.
What types of things do you usually see people for?
Common issues that I see people for, but am not limited to are:
anxiety and phobias, low self-esteem, depression, instability in moods, addictions, relationship issues, family conflict, adjustments to life changes such as: loss, divorce, birth, illness, developmental changes, marriage, relocation and financial/career changes.
